About Me

Currently I am the Director of Artist Development for Resound Media; heading up Sound Consultancy in delivering Mentoring for independent music artists and providing branding and promotion services.

In 2014 I self-published my debut novel 'The Running Boy' available from Amazon, local bookshops in Sheffield and also on Kindle.

I was born in Kenya to missionary parents, grew up in Bishops Stortford and Ipswich and since 1997 have adopted Yorkshire as my spiritual motherland, growing addicted to the beauty of The Peak District and the 'Outdoor City' of Sheffield.

After studying Architecture at Sheffield Uni I spent 11 years in Christian Youthwork (obviously...!)  It included lots of working in schools, churches, and local communities; particularly setting up a Community of Young People across 7 churches and the S17 area of Sheffield.  I also led an organisation connecting youth workers and youth work across Sheffield & South Yorkshire called The HUB (Sheffield) Ltd., wrote a Boys Course for Golddigger Trust called Made Of More and served a small Christian youth group and community Drop-In in two small villages in the Hope Valley in the Peak District.

I am married and have 3 beautiful and talented children whom I adore and am very proud of.

Other highlights might be leading an expedition to climb Mt Kilamanjaro with ten local Tanzanian students I was teaching for 8 months. I've cycled across the UK in 8.5hours, ridden a stage of the Tour de France and the RideLondon-Surrey 100 mile sportive.  In 2014 I ran my first marathon and took up the sport of triathlon - this blog will chart my journey to completing my first Iron Distance Triathlon (3.8km swim, 180km cycle and then 42km run)

And I built a pizza oven in my garden.
